These kids love you guys!
Single moms. Working moms. Working-at-home moms. Grandmas, aunts, neighbors, friends who are moms. Friends who long to be moms. Mother’s Day is us an opportunity to thanks our moms – and all those women who help positively impact our lives and our kids’ lives.
To our Jr. Explorer moms, we know how much your kids adore you. All of you. They’ve been thinking of you lately and have a gift they made just for you. We talk to JEC kids about how our moms and mom-types are so important and how and why we honor you.
Kids may not say it or seem to notice but they know you are superheroes. Feeding, bathing, dressing, cleaning, playing, photographing, cuddling. And then working, providing, loving, sacrificing.
Don’t forget to take care of yourselves too. We are here to help you. When you need a break, some me time, or even time to just go to the dentist, let us know.
We hope you all have a great Mother’s Day. And, to those for whom the holiday is difficult, we hope the day can bring you peace.
Some adorable crafts kids can make to honor their moms, grandmas and others.
Things to do with your kids on Mother’s Day:
Bike ride, check out some of Columbus’ best gardens, have a picnic, visit a splash pad, cook with the kids (or make them cook for YOU), go out for tea or go on a family scavenger hunt. Since the forecast is calling for rain, another great indoor option is the Columbus Museum of Art and they have free admission on Sundays.
