Do you accept families from other communities for state and federal holidays?

We do! We have special adventures scheduled for Summer Camp, Spring Break, Winter Break, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day and for Calamity Days.

Do I have to live in UA to participate in your summer adventure day camp?

No! Our summer adventure day camp is open to all!

Do I need to be a member to participate in your adventures?

We offer a one-time try us out non-member price. After that we require everyone to be a member to participate.

What are the benefits of becoming a JEC member?

First, you will always have a spot for care on any day your child is not in school, including calamity days!
We will email, text and pass out information on upcoming days off from school. We will ask you if you need the care on the specific day. If you need it, you have it. If you do not need the care, your spot goes out to non-members.
We also offer several complimentary parent nights out per year. All you pay for is the adventure scheduled that evening
(Our adventures range from $10 – $25)

Discounts: We give the best prices for our Explorer members!

How old do my kids need to be to participate in your before and after school club?

Emerging Kindergarteners and those fully potty trained through the 5th grade.

What happens if I pick up my child early from school on a day he/she is scheduled for After School Care?

Please notify us ASAP at 614-516-3325. If we don’t hear from you before 2pm when the bus shift departs to the schools and we arrive without knowledge, families will be charged a bus seat fee of $10. We regulate spots on our buses to accommodate all scheduled EXPLORERS needing to be picked up and even one less or one extra child, can cause our bus fleet/drivers to be uneven.

How do you bill for tuition? And do you charge late fees?

Invoicing will be sent out on the 15th of every month prior to the month of care needed and full month tuition is due by the end of the month it is invoiced. There is a $25 late fee for tuition that is not received by the end of the month.

What form of payment do you accept?

We recommend checks only and be made out to the JUNIOR EXPLORER CLUB. If you choose to pay digitally with a credit or debit card, you will be charged a 3% fee that is added to your next invoice.

What if I have to cancel our after school care coverage.

As is industry standard, the JEC cannot prorate or refund tuition if you chose to remove your child from the program before the month is over, this applies to Lock Rate and Month to Month. All withdrawals from the program need to be emailed to Kim at kim@jrexplorerclub.com For the Lock Rate enrollment, withdrawals need to be received by the 15th of the month. For Month To Month rate, withdrawals need to be received by the next invoice billing on the 15th of each month proceeding the month you will not be attending. Tuition will not be prorated regardless of absence, early withdrawal, or unforeseen closings absent a separate agreement with the JUNIOR EXPLORER CLUB.

How do I save my spot for the next school year?

You can reserve your spot for current or next school year for $250. Your $250 non-refundable deposit will save your spot. $125 of the deposit goes towards your membership and the remaining $125 goes towards your invoice balance.

How many children does the membership fee cover?

Your $125 membership fee is a non-refundable annual fee per family. Your membership fee covers After School Care, Early Explorers, Summer Camp, Spring and Winter Break.

Do you charge late fees for pick-up?

We understand late pick-ups are a result of weather, traffic, work related, or other emergencies.  We ask that you contact us asap and/or arrange for an alternate person to pick them up. Parents will be charged a late fee for all pick up’s after 6pm. The fee is $15 per child for the first 15 minutes after 6pm with a 5-minute grace period. And an additional $25 per child, late fee from 6:15pm-6:30pm. If by 6:30pm, we have not heard from parents after reaching out, we will call your emergency contact or the local police department.
